“Will our policyholders see the MovAssur brand?” It’s one of the questions we get asked in almost every demo. The answer isn’t binary: white-labeling is a dial each client sets based on their budget and ambition, not a box ticked once and forgotten.
At MovAssur, white-labeling is tuned rather than switched on as a block. The level of customization is chosen separately for web and mobile.
On the web: subdomain by default, custom domain as an option
In its base configuration, a client accesses their portal or back office through a subdomain like client.movassur.com. Logo, colors, content and legal notices already carry their brand. The subdomain name is the only visible trace of the MovAssur name, and only for someone who looks at the URL.
A client who wants to erase that trace entirely moves to a custom domain, fully under their own name (myinsurance.com, for instance). It’s a configuration change, not a technical rebuild.

On mobile: shared app or dedicated app
The choice carries more weight on mobile, because it touches on presence in the app stores.
By default, policyholders or brokers log in through the MovAssur app, shared across several clients. It’s the fastest option to deploy and the cheapest to maintain over time. A client who wants their own app, published under their name on the App Store and Google Play, orders a dedicated app instead. They gain control over brand and experience, with a different timeline and setup cost: store validation, their own release cycle.

How to choose
The right choice depends less on company size than on what it plans to build over the medium term.
-
A broker or microinsurer just starting out: shared configuration (subdomain and shared app), to get running quickly and reassess later
-
An insurer digitizing an existing network, with a brand already in place: custom domain from day one, to stay consistent with the physical brand (branches, printed materials)
-
A strategy where app store presence is part of the brand itself: dedicated app, not just the tool
Nothing is locked in: a company that starts on the shared configuration can move to a custom domain or a dedicated app later, without any data migration.
What MovAssur delivers here
Subdomain or custom domain, shared or dedicated app: every level of white-labeling runs on the same database and the same modules. Changing configuration never means changing software or starting the data over. For the policyholder web journey, see also our article on the client portal and self-service.
What next?
The right web and mobile combination depends on your brand, budget, and deployment timeline: we clarify it in a demo rather than in a comparison spreadsheet.
