A new insurance product? A form to configure, not a development request

October 13, 2026

Launching a new product, adding a benefit, changing a question in the quote journey. In most business software, every form change goes through a development ticket and a release. At MovAssur, it’s a configuration.

A broker wanting to add a fleet motor product, or an insurer launching a new health benefit, almost always hits the same wall: the existing quote form doesn’t have the right fields. In standard software, the fix means a request to the vendor, a spot in the development queue, and often several weeks before selling a product the business already decided to launch.

What a form hard-coded into the software costs you

When a quote form is hard-coded into the application, every change becomes a project of its own.

  • A new benefit to add waits its turn in the vendor’s backlog
  • A misplaced field or a question that’s no longer useful stays on screen, because removing it also takes development work
  • The broker or insurer depends on someone else’s schedule to sell what they’ve already decided to sell
  • Any market or product with its own quirks, health insurance, specialized property and casualty lines, microinsurance, eventually needs a custom request

The insurance product evolves faster than a standard software development cycle can keep up with.

What “configurable” means at MovAssur

In MovAssur’s quote module, a form isn’t hard-coded: it’s built through configuration.

Each insurance product, motor, home, health, has its own set of fields, switched on or off based on the policyholder’s initial choice. A field can be made mandatory, optional or hidden depending on previous answers, with no code involved. Adding a benefit, an option or a product means configuring new fields and new display rules, not waiting on development. The same logic applies on web and mobile, on the same database: a product configured once is available everywhere.

What the end user sees, whether broker, agent or self-service policyholder, is still a guided journey, screen by screen, showing only what’s relevant at that point.

Who configures it

Configuring a quote form is designed to be driven from the business side, by a product owner or functional administrator, not only by a technical team. That doesn’t mean “no expertise needed”: setting up the right rules for a complex product requires understanding that insurance product. But the dependency on a development cycle for every adjustment disappears.

What MovAssur delivers here

MovAssur’s Production module includes quote form configuration for every property & casualty or life product set up on the platform. A new product or option goes live through configuration, with no need to involve MovAssur’s technical team for every change.

This configuration capability is one of the things we routinely show in a demo, on a real product chosen with you, not a generic example.
